Budding writers might be interested in taking a look at Oneword. The idea is that you write whatever a particular word inspires in 60 seconds.

They beat hard on the ground with their trunks. The deep sound echoed through the jungle, shaking the trees and dropping their soft fruit to the gouund.

Beat, beat, beat. The sound of a drum, there in the background with the crowd marching onwards. John and Julian at the front, step, step, step with their pride and their uniforms and nothing to fear but that they would never come back. Yeah, it was a big deal. I didn't like to watch but I couldn't turn away
