Person on the tracks means something else in London. They probably aren't able to move....

Okay, that was as much of the story as would fit in an SMS, so here's a little more detail...

I get my usual train from Lansdowne road, and everything's fine until we get to Skerries. The driver then announces that announces that the train will be delayed. A few minutes later he announces that there's a person in front of the train refusing to move, and that they're waiting for the Gardaí (that's what we call the Police here, for any foreign readers).

Se we're left waiting a good half hour. I was tempted to walk up the platform to see if I could see anything, but I find that sort of thing distasteful, so I stayed put. I did see a couple of Gardaí leaving the station, though nobody whould could be obviously identified as the trespasser.

And then the train was moving and everything was (sort-of) normal again.

apparently the guy did a runner when the garda showed up. Apparently he was doing it as some form of protest.

yeah. top of the hour news on the radio as i walked from busstop. apparently only the train you were on was affected.

it's funny first story was guy on tracks, then a few moments later(about a minute) there is reports that he has gone from the tracks.

i thought of you, and made sure to check if you made an SMS report to LJ :)
