Date: 2006-01-31 02:33 pm (UTC)we were told - don't be silly, it's just someone messing around - but then, that was back in the halcyon days of 1980! I remember the worst thing was we had desk inspections regularly by the teachers to see our desks were tidy and the police/ firebrigade always messed up our desks and we had to retidy them for the inspections! - still, it got us out of class for a while!

Date: 2006-02-02 04:32 pm (UTC)If the building is just burning, it might not be too bad - you generally have a few minutes warning to get out of the way. But if we were to evacuate for any other sort of threat, it really could be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.
