Calling London...
Jan. 23rd, 2004 12:33 amAny of you Londonites fancy meeting for a drink?
madangie and I will be in your wonderful city for the weekend, and are hoping to say Hi to as many of you as possible in person. We'll be at the rescheduled Meat Loaf concert on Saturday night, but the rest of the weekend we're fairly open to suggestions for things to do.
Today I had my fitness assessment, which wasn't too bad overall. Heart rate and blood pressure were fairly healthy, and I did a test which required pedalling a bicycle for ten minutes, and it went up to 15 out or a maximum of 19, which she said showed a fairly good level of fitness. However the real shock was when I stood on the scales. I knew I'm a little overweight, but it tole me I'm about a stone heavier than I expected. So definately have to watch the diet a bit and keep regular excercise up.
She told me to keep up more or less the exercise I've been doing, but to add sit-ups. The interesting bit will be to see how I'm doing a month from now.
Maybe I could do something to become moderately famous, and then they might take me on celebrity fit camp.
Still have to pack in the morning!
Fifteen days to snowboarding!
