We're moving!
Dec. 18th, 2003 04:10 pmI was ready to tear my hair out last night... the documents the director of the management company promised to fax never turned up. Got him on the phone this morning, and he said he'd be able to fax them in about half an hour. Got onto my solicitor, and she expressed surprise that he was intending to fax them, as one should be about the size of a phone book. I got him again, and he said he'd be out my solicitor's direction this afternoon, and he'd dropped them in. I asked him if he was planning to be in town at all, and he said yes. I asked if he could drop them into the buyer's solicitor instead, as that's where they need to go. He said that was fine, he should be there around lunch time.
Then we had a fire drill in the office, which distracted me from things for a little bit.
I rang him again about 3pm, and he said he'd been to the solicitor about twenty minutes earlier, and everything was in order. I rang my solicitor, and she said everything was in order. I rang my bank and they said they were waiting for a fax from the solicitor, but everything was in order. I rang a van hire company. I rang
madangie. I rang my mother. I rang the electricity company. Still have to ring my boss and tell him I need the day off.
It looks like we're moving in tomorrow!
Sorry if yesterday's post came across as whiney. It wasn't really meant to. I've been in good spirits, it's just a lot of stress-inducing things have been happening.
