Okay, normally I hate these Meme things, but everyone seems to be doing this one, so here goes...

WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR KITCHEN PLATES?
White. Boring, but they are unbreakable.

WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING?
Only one? Well there's Maggie Furey's Sword of Flame (fantasy is not really my thing, but it's kinda fun). Then there's Jeff Noon's latest, Falling Out of Cars, which I know nothing about except that Jeff Noon is brilliant. And there's a book about Mars exploration, which is a little out of date, but very interesting. Finally there's Aliens and Alien Societies which I'm reading as source material for my writing.

WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?
At home: a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
At work: boring Dell mouse mat.

FAVORITE MAGAZINE?
Largely gone off magazines because I can usually get the same information quicker on the web. The only magazines I read these days are science magazines: Focus, Scientific American and occasionally New Scientist. Oh, and Fortean Times.

LEAST FAVORITE SMELL?
Baked beans, burning rubber or raw sewage.

FAVORITE COLOUR?
Used to be green. Don't know if I have one any more.

LEAST FAVORITE COLOUR?
Anything pastel.

HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOU ANSWER THE PHONE?
Home phone almost always goes straight to voicemail because it's almost always connected to the internet. That should be fixed when I get DSL. Mobile or work phone, as quick as I can get to it. Not hung up on waiting a certain number of rings before answering.

WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IN LIFE?
Living life in a way that you can feel good about yourself. Something I have some work to do on, but I'm getting there.

OF ALL THE POSSIBLE CIRCLES OF HELL, WHICH ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO BE ASSIGNED TO?
The one for people who procrastinate for to long. If I ever get around to going there.

Definately chocolate. Yumm...

DO YOU LIKE TO DRIVE FAST?
Yes, though I don't take anything like as many risks as I used to.

DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL?
Nope.

STORMS - COOL OR SCARY?
Cool. The only thing that's scary about an electrical storm is worrying that it might fry my computer.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?
Fiat Cincecento. It was called Slave-1A because I gave Jeremy Bulloch a lift to the airport.

DO YOU EAT THE STEMS OF BROCCOLI?
I don't like broccoli, so if I eat it at all, it's with my fingers clamped over my nose.

IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Astronaut. Or professional snowboarder. Or anything which gives me lots of free time. Or even full-time novelist.

IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY HAIR COLOR WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Not to fussed about hair colour, but I'd probably pick the look Jason had in the Wheeled Warriors cartoon.

Tricky to pick just one. The Fifth Element, The Abyss, Bladerunner, Brazil,

DO YOU TYPE WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE RIGHT KEYS?
Sort Of. I used to touch-type, but it's gradually evolved into my own variation, which is not necessarily faster. I can type without looking at the keyboard, as long as I don't think about it.

WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED?
Scaletrix set, shoes, the sleeping bag I couldn't find when I was going to Eastercon, and some random stuff I'd rather not think about...

FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH?
Formula 1. Don't generally watch sport as I'd rather be doing stuff.

WHAT IS YOUR SINGLE BIGGEST FEAR?
Being alone.

FAVORITE TV SHOWS?
Star Trek, X Files, Farscape, Lexx, Red Dwarf, Friends and an Irish show called Bachelor's Walk (because it was filmed around the corner from me).

KETCHUP OR MUSTARD?
No. Yuck. Might eat the occasional item with them, but would never add them intentionally.

HAMBURGERS OR HOTDOGS?
Hamburgers. Though hotdogs can be nice too.

WHAT SCREEN SAVER IS ON YOUR COMPUTER RIGHT NOW?
At work: the mandatory work one.
At home: I've a cool 3D fish tank one, though I don't use it very often because it takes too much processor time away from Seti@home.

BURGER KING OR MCDONALDS?
When I was younger I ate in both far too often. I only do very occasionally now. I prefer the burgers and fries at Burger King, but I quite partial to McDonald's McFlurries (ice cream). I have been known to have a meal in BK, then move next door to McD for desert...

Yes.

WHAT DID YOU DO YESTERDAY?
Got stuck in work till almost 11pm, so mostly fight with converting database formats. However, I did sneak half an hour to work on adding a spell checker to my personal Webmail program.
