This is probably old news, but Google Toolbar is now available for Firefox. This is one of the few things I from Internet Explorer really missed when I switched to Firefox.

Yes, I know Firefox has a search box in the toolbar, but Google Toolbar has a couple of really neat things - like putting your search terms in the toolbar so you can find where they are text, and the highlighter. And, of course, the way it lets me spellcheck this entry before I post it.

How about if the toolbar went up the side of the screen? Losing a bit of width is not so bad ...

Tried that with the Office toolbar. It was more of a taskbar, and hence a different kettle of fish I suppose, but I never could get used to it. I'm nto overly bothered though - I don't like it, but others can do as they please.

I like that with some application toolbars, but the Google one has to have a place to type, and space for text buttons, so if it was a vertical toolbar, it would get very wide.

I'm getting quite attached to the Google Desktop, though.
