Pen ready...

A couple of days to the start of NaNoWriMo 2008 and I'm feeling a little nervous. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to write about. I even have a sort of a plot. What I really need is an ending. I've never managed to finish anything unless I know how it's supposed to end, but I haven't been able to figure it out for this one.

Still, I've got a couple of days to think of one. And maybe flesh out some of the outline.

I think the basic idea is a blinder, if I do say so myself, so I hope I can make it work.

Only fifty thousand words to go!

Ooh, glad I'm not the only one doing this. Have you done nano before? I haven't. I've been talking about writing a novel for /ages/, though. I have a beginning, and a sort of idea for an ending, but am totally missing the middle bit. I'm rather hoping it'll just turn up as I write...... Fingers crossed!

Hmmm, the Author Search function doesn't seem to work. Can you go to "My NaNoWriMo" and copy the URL? When I go there I should see an "Add as buddy" link.

I have to confess I cheated a little, and started a couple of days early - wrote 3k-ish on Wednesday evening, then started about 10pm yesterday rather than waiting for midnight. I know it's very bad of me, but I'm really impatient!

I'm sure I'll slow down as I move from the easy beginning bit to the tricky middle that I've not in any way sorted out in my head.... Also, there are going to be various bits of November in which I'm rather busy and almost certainly won't have time to do any writing (unless I completely give up sleeping), so it'll all even out. That's my theory, anyway!
