If you're flying in Thursday or out on Monday, your flight may be affected by the cabin crew strikes. Apparently everyone is being accomodated, but flights are being rescheduled.

Yes, just Aer Lingus - the only airline where I have had an aborted landing because the cabin crew spent so long on the inflight shopping service that there were still trollies in the aisle! Not that I would ever dis our national carrier...

I've only flown across the atlantic a dozen times or so (maybe twenty) plus a couple of trips to Hong Kong, one to Sydney, one to Japan ... and the only aborted landing I've had was on Aer Lingus too!

Supposed to be landing into Cork but the landing gear down and locked light didn't come on, so they diverted us to Shannon (if I recall correctly, I was young!) so that if the wheels collapsed they had better emergency crews ... turned out to be a dodgy bulb/contact and we landed safely (it's *true* I didn't die in a ball of fire many years ago!)
