Ooh...shiny!

I got my first SLR camera when I was ten years old, and have owned several over the years. However, I can't say I've done anything serious with one since I was at university. Over the last few years I've had a much keener interest in digital photography. I love the immediacy of it, plus the savings of not getting dozens of crap photos developed for the few you want to keep.

But now, at last, Canon have produced a digital SLR camera with interchangable lenses for under a grand. Even better, my Dad has an EOS film camera, so I could borrow lenses.

I don't suppose anyone wants to get me one for Christmas?
