Spinning Class: 1; James: Nil
Apr. 23rd, 2004 12:26 amI tried my first spinning class at the gym, and boy did I feel unfit!
For those who don't know, spinning is sort of aerobics on an exercise bike. The class was 45 minutes and by the end of it I was in agony.
I realised I was in trouble when the instructor said:
Instructor: Just two minutes left...
Me: Phew
Instructor: ...of the warm-up
Me: Oh F***!
At the moment I have the warm glow of acomplishment. I'm sure it will be replaced by the warm pain of stiff muscles in the morning!
I'm glad I started on the 45min clas instead of the hour class, and I'm not even going to think about the 2.5 hour cycle marathon on Saturday mornings!

Date: 2004-04-23 01:45 am (UTC)I'm not sure about the Saturday class. I've never actually seen it, just someone mentioned it. It is on the spinning bikes, but I suspect they take it at a slightly gentler pace. Either that or they're just insane!
