Wasn't feeling at all well in the tummy department last night. Aside from having to make urgent trips to the little boys room at short notice, my body couldn't seem to decide what temperture it wanted to be.

This morning I was feeling a little better, so I headed for the station. But when I got there, I just felt so nausious that I didn't feel like getting on the train.

So I'm home today, and wondering what I'm going to do. Still not feeling too good, so think I'll go back to bed for a while.

... oh, and on a purely selfish personal viewpoint ... where's a good place to look for high tech jobs in Ireland? (website, tech paper or recruitment firm)

One of my options is to move my mother to Duleek (where her sister lives) and find a job somewhere in/near Dublin. She'd like to be back near her family, my brothers would like her to be nearer people who can look after her as necessary, I love Ireland, my brother lives in Drogheda, and there's nothing tying me to the UK ... and my mother could sell her house in Hackney for a very good price and that would allow us to buy something nice (e.g. an old farmhouse) and do it up to a comfortable state.

Any thoughts?

Sorry for the dalay in replying. Unfortunately I've been out of the job scene for a couple of years. To the best of my knowledge, the market has been picking up, and there's more work out there than there has been for the last couple of years.

Here's some ideas...

General recruitment websites:
http://www.recruitireland.com/
http://monster.ie/
http://www.theitjobboard.com

Some other agencies:
http://www.cpl.ie/
http://www.computerfutures.com/
http://www.allenrec.com/
http://eolas.ie/

I find it interesting that several of the agencies I've dealt with in the past no longer have active websites (i.e., they no longer exist).

I thought of sending you some email address of people who've been helpful, but people in that industry move around, so I don't know if it would be useful.

I'm not sure what your area of expertise is. If you give me a little more specific information, I could ask around and see if there are any openings in my company or anyone I know knows of any.

Hope this is useful.

All the best,

James
