A few things...
Sep. 27th, 2004 12:05 pmJack says when he grows up he's going to be an inventor, and he'll invent a robot that will get you anything you want, but only if you ask nicely.
Had dinner with the In-laws on Sunday and met Aunt Mary and Uncle Mat (not to be confused with Uncle Travelling Mat). A nice afternoon all round.
Fininhing the latest Brentford Mercury tonight. Should be going to the printers tomorrow for posting on Wednesday. Michael Carroll is a genius and has presented us with the newsletter of the Brentford Chapter of the International Association of Elvis Impersonators, who apparently have a bone to pick with Robert Rankin.
I'm planning my next major computer upgrade. Some would argue that there won't be enough components from the current system for it to be an "upgrade", but we don't listen to them. The new case (the fourth that the system has resided in in ten years), is very shiney and black, and has all the essential USB, Firewire and sound ports on the front panel. I also have an ATI Radeon 9800XT graphics card coming, courtesy of eBay. Other components such as the Athlon 64 processor should be arriving in the next week or two.
Heard the first episode of the Hitchhikers tertiary phase (listen to it on http://www.bbc.co.uk if you haven't already done so - should be available for another day or so), and it's really rather good. It starts of a little slow, a little too much like a talking book with a little too much narration, but then picks up nicely, and had me in stitches by the end. Hopefully the rest of the series will keep up the pace, though I don't expect it will quite live up to the original.
I don't think I've mentioned for a while how nuts I am about
madangie. She never stops surprising me and making me feel special. Better stop now before anyone loses the contents of their lunch.
