lostcarpark: (Lego Spiderman)

A year or two ago Optical Mice were all the rage. At first they were a bit fussy as to what surfaces they'd work on, and the buying public were divided as to whether they were a good idea. But anyone who has spent time cleaning dirt off their mouse's rollers could see the mouse ball's days were numbered. Improvements in sensor technology have clearly demonstrated the optical mouse was head of the pack.

But now, Logitech have taken the optical mouse to a new level. By replacing the LED light source on previous mice with a low powered laser, they reckon the optical sensor can see far more clearly. The result is the Logitech® MX™1000 Laser Cordless Mouse.

Want!

Wonder what the battery life is like. Some of the cheapie cordless opticals are a pig fucker in batteries. Logitech are usually better on this, just once you add a recharge cradle its becoming less cordless.

I swapped my optical mouse back to a roller-ball mouse at home because I couldn't bear it any longer. Meanwhile, my roller-ball mouse at work broke, and they could only replace it with an optical mouse. Conclusion: I had a shite optical mouse at home.

OOOH!!! Pretty :D
I really need to get myself a mouse (preferably optical) for my laptop, I'm still using that sensor-pad thingy which can be annoying at times.
