lostcarpark: (Lego Spiderman)

A year or two ago Optical Mice were all the rage. At first they were a bit fussy as to what surfaces they'd work on, and the buying public were divided as to whether they were a good idea. But anyone who has spent time cleaning dirt off their mouse's rollers could see the mouse ball's days were numbered. Improvements in sensor technology have clearly demonstrated the optical mouse was head of the pack.

But now, Logitech have taken the optical mouse to a new level. By replacing the LED light source on previous mice with a low powered laser, they reckon the optical sensor can see far more clearly. The result is the Logitech® MX™1000 Laser Cordless Mouse.

A cordless one mightn't make much sense (unless you only planned on using it as a base station). This dinky little one might suit better.

Cute, isn't it?

Before anyone asks, I don't work for Logitech, or own shares, or have any other commercial interest. But they do make rather good mouses.

Does the "All-terrain optical sensor" include empty space as a terrain? ;-)
