I'm loving the new series of Doctor Who but I really wouldn't want Martha Jones to be trying to save my life. After a quick glance of my vital signs, she would shake her head saying, "nah, he's a gonner."
"But it's only a splinter," I'd say.
"Doesn't matter," she'd retort, "the splinter is a shard from the Master's Tardis. Contains the rare element eurechium, doesn't it? You're a gonner for sure."
"Well, shouldn't you at least try to get it out in case there isn't very much eurechium?"
"No point. I've seen this a thousand times before. Always fatal."
"And it wouldn't be that because you were off galavanting instead of studying for your finals, you haven't got a clue about medicine and you just write off all your patients?"
"Er, come along folks, no point wasting any more time on this patient. Next patient please."
"No wait, is this how it was for Jenny? And Owen? And let's not forget your own doppleganger."
"Nobody mind this patient. He's clearly suffering from dangerous psychotic delusions, brought on by the eurechium. I recommend heavy sedation..."

I'm slow. I just realised that the actress playing Jenny was Peter Davison's daughter!
