Gandalf: That ring is bad news, Frodo, it must be destroyed.
Frodo: How so?
Gandalf: It must be placed in the fires of Mount Doom.
Frodo: Oh well, I guess that means a lot of walking, camping and then running away from monsters, lots of death and almost losing all my friends?
Galdalf: Nah, I know some big eagles that can fly us straight to the mountain and we can drop it in the lava. We'll be home by tea.
Frodo: Nice one.

Edit: Apparently this may have previously have featured on Dork Tower. Unfortunately our network people block that site, so I can't check.

Broadband Yay!

I now have 512K of broadbandy goodness! I have a cable from mu computer running to a box on my roof which talks to my new ISP. It's all fast and wonderful. I'm finding big files to download to celebrate.

The only problem is that the cable has to plug into my network card, and as I only have one network card, so I can't access the internet and my network at the same time. More importantly, the rest of my network can't access the internet. However, that should change tomorrow, when my new router will hopefully get here.
