This may be old news, but Google Maps now have a rather neat arial photos feature. It's quite neat that it can show photographic data at any scale, rather than most sites that only show it at the highest zoom factors.

As usual, the Irish data is incomplete, but unlike other sites that have the photographs come to an abrupt halt, it has lower-res satellite images as a backup where detailed photos are not available.

And, as usual, the drag-and-drop navigation is perfect.

Oops. Taking our new tram system. Just bought my ticket when announcement of delays. Can currently see 5 trams waiting at 2 stops.

Edit: The problem seemed to sort iself out a few minutes later.

I was waiting at Busáras stop, which is about 100m fronm the terminus at Connolly. There were two trams waiting in Connolly, which was all that can fit. A third train was at Busáras, waiting to get into Connolly. Then a fourth arrived, and preceeded to wait patiently at the end of the platform for the third tram to move off. Before long, a fifth tram appeared around the corner, but sensibly decided to wait there rather than try to join its brethern and completely block the street.

Fortunately things got moving a few minutes later, and once we got going the journey was uneventful.

By the way, not sure if I've used this icon before, so this possibly counts as a gratuatous icon post.
