Went to see this las night, and it is quite brilliant. One of the best Irish movies in years. Colm Meaney is a hard-as-nails Garda-sergent who always gets his man. Colm Farrell is a small time criminal. I can't really describe the plot, but it was quite involved and very clever. I don't know how much of a release it's got outside Ireland, but if you get the opportunity, I'd strongly recommend going to see it.
Unfortunately, after that I felt somewhat ill. At first I put it down to too much coke at the cinema. However, during the night I was violently ill. I would seem to have picked up some kind of tummy bug. I didn't wake till after ten this morning. Angie said I slept right through the alarm, but I wasn't fit for going to work anyway. Spend most of the day in bed, though I did struggle as far as the computer to play Age of Mythology for a little while and watched Jason and the Argonauts on DVD.
I feel a bit better now, but nowhere near 100%. Will see how I feel about work in the morning.
