Well, part of it's my own fault. Was up late finishing the layout of The Brentford Mercury, so it could go to the printers this morning. I'm really happy with the issue, though I'd have liked just a little time to fiddle with fonts and making sure the photos would photocopy well. And maybe to write something other than a book review for it.
But no sooner had I got to bed, when I was disturbed by people working on the building site next door. I'm getting used to work starting around six. I'm not happy about it, but presumably it's temporary and it's tended to get me up early. However having a very loud cement mixer churning away from 3am really takes the biscuit!
And, of course, when I do get to sleep, I don't hear the alarm clock. So as a result I was late in this morning. Argh!
